Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using PortForward.Pro services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the PortForward.Pro client application ("the Software") or accessing the PortForward.Pro service ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service or Software.

PortForward.Pro is provided by Andrei Germanov ("the Developer") as an independent project. This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to portforward.com, PureVPN, or any other similarly named entities.

2. Description of Service

PortForward.Pro provides a secure tunneling service that allows users to expose local network ports to the internet without configuring routers, firewalls, or requiring a public IP address. The Service works by:

Creating encrypted WebSocket tunnels between your local machine and our relay servers
Forwarding TCP traffic from specified local ports through these tunnels
Allowing remote clients to connect to forwarded ports via localhost on their machines

The Service supports tunneling of any TCP-based protocol, including but not limited to HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, databases, IoT devices, and custom applications.

3. Free Service with Usage Limits

PortForward.Pro is provided as a free service with the following limitations to ensure fair usage and sustainability:

Connection Duration: Individual connections are limited to 2 hours per session
Daily Server Limit: Each server (identified by Server ID) is limited to 4 hours of total forwarding time per 24-hour period
Bandwidth: Reasonable bandwidth usage is expected. Excessive bandwidth consumption may result in connection throttling or termination

Note: These limits may be adjusted or removed in the future based on infrastructure capacity and community support through donations.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1. Lawful Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not use the Service to:

Transmit illegal, harmful, or malicious content
Engage in spam, phishing, or other abusive activities
Access or attempt to access unauthorized systems or data
Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Violate the intellectual property rights of others
Perform denial-of-service attacks or network scanning

4.2. Security

You are responsible for:

Securing your local services before exposing them through the Service
Implementing appropriate authentication and access controls on forwarded ports
Not exposing sensitive services (e.g., unsecured databases, administrative interfaces) without proper protection

4.3. Server IDs and Sharing

Server IDs generated by the Software are intended for sharing with trusted individuals only. You are responsible for any activity conducted through connections you authorize.

5. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT
WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY
WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE

You acknowledge that the Service may be subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in internet-based services. The Developer is not responsible for any such issues.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
SECURITY BREACHES OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR SYSTEMS
SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR DOWNTIME
ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ANY DONATIONS YOU HAVE MADE TO THE PROJECT.

Important: PortForward.Pro is a tool for convenience and should not be used for mission-critical systems or sensitive data without additional security measures and professional evaluation.

7. Service Modifications and Termination

7.1. Modifications

The Developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (temporarily or permanently) at any time without notice. You agree that the Developer shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

7.2. Termination

The Developer may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Breach of these Terms
Illegal or abusive use of the Service
Security concerns or technical issues

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including warranty disclaimers, liability limitations, and intellectual property provisions.

8. Intellectual Property

The PortForward.Pro name, logo, software, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Andrei Germanov. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software
Redistribute, sublicense, or sell the Software
Remove or alter any copyright notices or trademarks

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Donations and Support

PortForward.Pro is maintained as a passion project and offered free of charge. Users may voluntarily support the project through donations via the Boosty platform.

Donations do not create any contractual relationship or guarantee of service. All donations are voluntary and non-refundable. The Developer reserves the right to use donated funds at their discretion for infrastructure, development, or personal expenses.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Moscow, Russia.

12. Changes to Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service immediately.
